CANDLE CARE GUIDE

Candle Care Guide!

For Container Candle

Please follow our candle care guide below for the best use of our candles!

  • The first burn of your candle is the most important. When lighting for the first time, we recommend you burn your candle for at least 2-4 hours. This is to prevent tunneling and to help create a full melt pool across your container candle.
  • Always trim wick to ¼ of an inch before each burn to promote an even burn, steady flame and limit sooting & mushrooming of wick.
  • If sooting ever forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish candle, wait for it to cool, then wipe with a clean damp cloth. Trim wick and relight.
  • To preserve the fragrance, do not burn your candle more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Place candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. This will also help prevent possible heat damage to counters and table surfaces and prevent glass containers from cracking or breaking.
  • Do not burn candle near anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc. Be sure to keep candle away from drafts, vents or air currents.
  • Do not burn your candle all the way down. Stop use when there is ¼ inch of wax left.
  • Do not touch or move a burning candle. Never move a candle container when the wax is liquified.
  • Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not place burning candles where they can be knocked over by children, pets or anyone else.
  • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle, if available, as it’s the safest way to prevent hot wax from splattering.
  • Always burn candle within sight! Do not leave burning candle unattended. Be sure to extinguish all candles before you leave a room or go to bed.
