Come and enjoy a wonderful new series of workshops shared throughout the valley exploring the healing medicine and practice of Meditation. These workshops will blend explorations into meditation, traditional chinese medicine, energy, bodywork, movement, yoga, and
mind-body awareness coupled with community conversation to help experience an awakening connection, clarity, & awareness of the body, ourselves, our health, and each other.
Series Foundation
This "Meditation as Healing" series is designed to use meditation as a practice of awareness to source the innate wisdom & healing in the body, sourcing the center, the teacher within to awaken connection and healing through a light-hearted, accepting, & engaging atmosphere. Each workshop is a process, building on the one before, but each also foundational in its concepts to share individually.

I was really looking forward to it and it was better than I could imagine. I really like how she encouraged us to be open with our thoughts and feelings. Tuning into Center:
An Earth Practice

This workshop will explore the practice of tuning into center of the body to awaken foundation, balance, feeling, and breath from the core. We'll explore conversations and experiential mind-body work in balance, homeostasis, and the traditional chinese medicine concept of "hara" as it helps us open up the practice of awareness within. A powerful workshop for accessing and awakening personal grounding and center inside fluctuation that can be foundational for tapping, experiencing, and maintaining an inner sense of calm, clarity, stillness, and inner wisdom that you can carry into life with harmony and peace. We'll also explore personal healing space, the benefits of enjoying quiet moments, and its relationship to health and vitality.
Heart Intimacy:
Awakening & Connection

Wherever the heart is, connection awakens. This workshop will explore the heart as a pathway for opening, expression, and healthy communication. We'll tap into the practice of awareness through touch, physically connecting to the body in meditation, and exploring the intimate foundation of a safe connective touch that awakens and nurtures the vital flow that is essential to the embodiment of life and health. This fun and interactive, yet engaging intimate workshop is appropriate for individuals, friends, couples, and groups and will explore personal meditative body exercises as well as partner bodywork to shed some of the familiar fears of intimacy and create enjoyable and flowing pathways to opening the heart, easy communication, laughter, and safe and nurturing foundations of touch and connection.
Healing from Inside Out:
Sourcing Body Wisdom

Each of us embodies the powerful capacity of self-healing that is within that can awaken when we embrace, appreciate, and honor our body with grace and awareness. Often in our American goal-driven society, we can push more than we need and overextend beyond our limits and edges, which in turn can challenge the nervous system, the physical body, and mental balance. This cycle can impair our vital life energy if consistently experienced at the "flight-fight" edge commonly related to high stress situations. This proactive workshop will explore an introductory foundation to psychology & physiology of the body in its response to stress, and its innate ability to reverse itself to experience "homeostasis," the body's natural state of health and balance. We'll tap into body awareness practices that can beautifully awaken as we slow down, tune in, feel the body, and listen to the wise intuitive teacher within. Experiential meditation and movement exercises will focus on stillness, exploring pace & flow, healthy boundaries & edges (when to work through challenge, when to be firm, when to let go), compassion & personal care, and accessing the body's communication and language that is the foundation for choosing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Meditation & Movement:
Awakening
the Body's Voice

An engaging exploration into movement as meditation and authentic movement, this workshop will tap into the body's expression and listening in movement as a creative voice for release, awakening, and healing. This workshop will blend meditation and movement forms such as tai chi, walking meditation, and dancing meditation to explore the concepts of flow, rhythm, connection, and awareness as key principles and foundation to a grounded body movement practice you can explore with confidence at home, in life, and in community. This enjoyable and interactive workshop will use the practice of "noticing" as a comfortable backdrop to look at our movement as a kind relationship to our interaction in life, with ourselves, and with each other. Participants will explore confidence, empowerment, and creativity through authentic movement using principles and music as a founding vehicle, and later sourcing movement out of silence, intuition, and ability to express the inner voice, intimacy, and presence through body expression. A wonderful workshop also for movement teachers and students to help awaken a natural flow and awareness in practices of dance, yoga, bodywork, and meditation.
A personal journal is recommended for this series. Workshops may be inside or outside depending on weather or preference of the group. Wear comfortable clothing for meditation and movement.
Feel free to bring anything you need to make sitting for periods
of time comfortable.
Portions of workshop proceeds will benefit special charities along the way that promote healthy child and family development, trauma prevention, and a healthy mind, body, spirit, and world.

Meditation, while it comes in many forms, reaches all. The tools help us connect with ourselves, each other, and the world with richness and fullness. Personal practice helps us create foundation in ourselves, almost as a way to help us establish discipline to help us see the benefits in our mind, body, and heart. Community practice allows us to bring the personal practice to a place of connection and it is there where the community can create unity and really realize how common we all are and that separation is an illusion. We also realize how much being in community can do amazing things for creating a healthier world. Just by sitting together, moving together, being together, talking together, and even laughing together. So, I invite you, wherever you're at, to try it out, and just see what happens. It might be the best thing you ever did. :)

They are available in 5 or 10 session packages in 30, 60, 90, or 120 minute sessions. Wellness Packages are transferable within families and between spouses/partners. This class theme revolved ultimately around discovering our authentic self. How often can you lose your passion in the business of life, or just plain lose yourself in general? So, friends, this is a capture, a regeneration, a kicking alive, no excuses, expression of you. I've been inspired by my own themes because they always come to me in my life in a powerful way and they help me cut loose and get real on what it is that I'm wanting to get at. Sometimes you may not know, sometimes you can have blockages, and you can be confused on who the real you really is. But make no mistake, it's there, and it's fine time we make some shifts with inspired passion to get the crap out that's not you out, break down barriers and blockages, remove obstacles, and move on to your best and vibrant life.
So Here Goes, Are You Ready?
It's Not About Proving Yourself
I've had this lesson more than a few times myself, and every time I got sucked in, it was always for the wrong reasons and the wrong people. If you are connected to an energy that is negative and doesn't support you, and yet you feel like you need to do everything you can to hopefully make the situation change or the other person approve of you, let me tell you right now...you are not where you are supposed to be. If someone does not respect you, that is the first sign that they are not worthy of your time. Respect is fundamental and a key to thriving. We are in relationships all the time, with ourselves, with significant others, with our families, our co-workers, strangers, God, Universe, Nature. The key is that we are in an abundant world and while that is hard to see at times, we are. So that means very essentially, that you have a place and a right to be you, and your gifts will always be seen and appreciated by the right people when you honor yourself with heart, love, and respect.
